On Sunday, April 30th, artists, friends, family, and other art-enthusiasts gathered in the Nilson Gallery at the Monmouth Museum to celebrate the opening of Arts Access’ latest in-person exhibition, For Art’s Sake.
Ten Arts Access artists were able to attend the reception and were delighted not only to see their artwork on the walls, but also to mingle and discuss their work with the other attendees. Also showcased at the reception was recordings of 2 poetry readings and 1 dance performance, “The Sun Rises in the East But Sets in the West” by Tammy Heppner, “Life is Like” by Tony LaFond, and “Lines Written in Early Spring” by Ellen Kane.
For Art’s Sake features acrylic paintings and drawings by 20 talented artists who embody the idea that art is created for the purpose of art itself, and for enjoying the process of creating it. This exhibit will be showcased in the Nilson Gallery at the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, NJ. The exhibit will run from Friday, April 28 through Sunday, June 4.
Congrats to all of the artists participating in this exhibit! And thank you to Monmouth Museum for partnering with us to put together this event.
