On Saturday, December 10, New Jersey and New York City art lovers gathered together at contemporary art gallery Kathryn Markel Fine Arts to celebrate the opening of Art Without Limits, a group exhibition of paintings by the Arts Access artists.

The installation featured 19 abstract and figurative acrylic paintings by 17 artists. Among this group of talented artists was Anthony Zaccaria, who was thrilled to see his work, “It’s Christmas Eve at Hotel Transylvania 3,” on view at the reception. The title of his painting was particularly fitting to kick off the holiday season in the city.

Other visitors included the family of longtime Arts Access artist Mike Martin, whose show-stopping piece, “C.B.G,” hung boldly near the entrance to the gallery. This monumental painting was completed over a period of two years, and viewers couldn’t help but stop and revel in its beauty.

From 3-6pm, viewers mingled over refreshments and great conversation about art. One NYC resident, Dylan Reilly, said, “I am blown away by the creativity and talent on display, and the space is a pleasure to walk around and take in the various pieces.”

“Art Without Limits” is on view from December 9 – 23 at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts. The gallery is open to the public Tuesday-Friday from 10am-6pm and Saturdays from 11am-6pm. Kathryn Markel Fine Arts is located at 529 W 20th Street, Suite 6W, New York, NY. Visit markelfinearts.com or call 212-366-5368 for more information.
