Spring Fever

Virtual gallery with Arts Access "Spring Fever" exhibited paintings.

An Arts Access virtual exhibition

Arts Access is pleased to present Spring Fever, a virtual exhibition of uplifting paintings by the Arts Access artists to welcome the spring season.

With the winter months behind us, we are all looking forward to warmer and longer days ahead.  The paintings in this exhibition celebrate the arrival of spring, featuring playful and bright color palettes coupled with figures of springtime such as flowers, butterflies, and sunny days.

Capturing the Joy of Spring

Pinks, purples, yellows, greens, and blues are the primary colors explored in these works. Some paintings, such as Cheryl Chapin’s Spring Design and Tammy Heppner’s Butterfly are heavily saturated and vibrant, while others, like Ellen Kane’s Sister and Chet Cheesman’s Independent (aka Screw You) are more toned down with pastels and lighter shades. Vivid hues paired with soothing pastels promote emotions of exuberance, optimism, and bliss – all of which are telltale signs of “spring fever.”

While we wait for the flowers to bloom and the birds to sing, we turn to beautiful art to keep us company. Representing a range of artistic styles from abstract to figurative, each of these paintings leave us feeling invigorated in anticipation of springtime.

This exhibition will be available online April 7 – May 26, 2022. To view, click on the gallery image below.
