An Arts Access virtual exhibition

Arts Access is pleased to present, Celebrating the Women of Arts Access, a virtual exhibition highlighting our talented female artists in honor of Women’s History Month.

During the month of March, we reflect on the contributions that women have made to culture, history, and society. Every year, the National Women’s History Alliance designates a theme for Women’s History Month, and the 2022 theme is “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.”

Our History is Our Strength

This exhibition is a reflection of that theme and the ways that art nurtures healing and hope for both the artist and the viewer. Many of these works were created amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and it’s during this time that we’ve seen firsthand how essential art is to our well-being. Each artist captures different emotions that embody women everywhere, from Cindy Shanks’ sharp forms that elicit feelings of strength and resilience, to Nancy Soto’s soothing and peaceful explorations of color.

The women of Arts Access have produced a strong body of work that is both compelling and contemplative, and these paintings represent the resilience of women and their power to heal.

This exhibition will be available online March 3 – March 31, 2022. To view, click on the gallery image below.
