She chooses simple, often monochromatic color palettes and shapes to draw in the eye and challenge viewers to look closely. Her works appear simple but upon further examination reveal a complex layering of textures and shapes. Nancy tends to paint quickly, and knows exactly what she wants to create when she starts.
