Jenny Durr

Jenny Durr (also known as Hannah Grace D.) started writing at the age of 7. She has been in a wheelchair all her life. She dictates her work because she has cerebral palsy, which causes her inability to write. She currently lives in central New Jersey, near her childhood home. The author spent her childhood living in the country with her parents and sister. Her father recently retired from farming after 40 years. The author's entire schooling was at a special education school. Her favorite subject was and continues to be English. HE grandmother lovingly took down Jenny's very first poem, "Why, Why, Why?" People have often told the author that she is wise beyond her years as the content of her poetry shows.
