Isabell is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans dance, painting, digital art, sculpture, and writing. A member of the Arts Access program since 2011, she values the freedom it offers, sharing that it allows her “to be myself - to be the person I truly am.” Her work is deeply personal and expressive, with writing playing a central role in her creative process. Through it, she is able to articulate emotions and ideas that might otherwise go unspoken, describing it as a way “to come out of my shell.” Her visual work often intersects with her writing, as she frequently incorporates text into her digital compositions. Isabell’s work is informed by a strong awareness of the world around her, addressing themes such as violence, bullying, and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. She approaches her practice with intention and dedication, often arriving with fully formed ideas that she has developed outside the studio. She credits the Arts Access community for fostering both her artistic and personal growth, noting the importance of being supported by a team that believes in her. “Through my artwork, I create my own language,” she says. “Art is freedom.” Her greatest inspiration is her mother, Ana, whose encouragement continues to motivate her creative journey.
