We are pleased to announce that Ellen Kane’s painting, “The Good Samaritan,” will be included in “Art for the View,” a juried group exhibition at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital’s Viewpoint Gallery in Schenectady, New York. A private reception will be held on Wednesday, November 16, from 6-9pm at the historic Proctors Theatre, located at 432 State Street in Schenectady. The exhibit will then move to the Viewpoint Gallery where it will remain on view from November 17 through November 30.

About the Viewpoint Gallery at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital:
The Viewpoint Gallery at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital was established in 1999 as a way to celebrate the creativity and vision of artists with disabilities. A multi-faceted arts program that provides opportunities to disabled artists, hospital patients, staff, and the community at large, Viewpoint Gallery engages the appreciation, understanding and creation of visual art.
Viewpoint Gallery continues to be committed to the development and implementation of quality programming.Viewpoint Gallery currently manages an art collection containing more than 100 works of art on public exhibits throughout Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, created exclusively by artists with disabilities from around the world.
Viewpoint Gallery also annually manages an international exhibition by artists with disabilities offering a professional juried and sales opportunity. Additionally, Viewpoint Gallery manages the Studio Arts Program, art instruction, and art history classes for regional artists with physical disabilities.
